NRLW Dreams Are Everywhere — But Not Everyone Is Telling The Truth
Everyone’s talking about NRLW right now.
More girls are playing than ever before.
The game is growing fast.
And social media is making it look big, exciting… and achievable for everyone.
But no one is actually telling you the full truth.
And that’s the part that hurts the most.
Dreams are being pushed everywhere.
Parents are buying in.
Players are believing it.
NRLW is growing rapidly…
but so is the noise around it.
Everyone’s selling the dream —
but very few are explaining what it actually takes to get there.
The truth isn’t being told clearly enough.
And that’s where the problem starts.
The Truth About NRLW Dreams — Not Everything Being Sold Leads There
Let’s be real.
There are more paid programs than ever.
More “pathway” conversations.
More social media hype.
But not everything being sold actually leads to NRLW.
And that’s the truth people don’t want to say.
You’ve got paid programs popping up everywhere.
Everyone’s offering something.
Everyone’s promoting something.
And yes — some of it has value.
But a lot of what I’m seeing…
is grassroots-level training being sold as “development.”
That’s not the same thing.
That doesn’t prepare you for NRLW pathways.
In some cases, it actually slows your development down.
There are good programs — and I’ve mentioned them before.
And when I do, I have zero affiliation.
👉
“If you’re serious about development, we’ve already broken down the coaches we actually recommend for development — and more importantly, who is worth your time.” coaches we actually recommend
No deals.
No partnerships.
No kickbacks.
Because I don’t owe anyone anything —
and no one owes me.
But there are also plenty of programs pushing content that looks good online…
but doesn’t actually make sense when it comes to real development.
I’m not saying they’re useless.
👉 I’m saying they’re not built for NRLW pathways.
And that’s a big difference.
You Don’t Need To Pay For NRLW Dreams — You Need To Be Ready For Them
Here’s what most people won’t tell you:
You can get to NRLW
without paying for everything.
You don’t need to chase every program.
You need to understand what actually matters.
At Excel Sports, we focus on:
Mindset
Speed & agility
Explosive starts
Skill execution
The 1% details
Strength built on repetition — not ego lifting
That’s development.
Not hype.
Not shortcuts.
Not noise.
Coaching In NRLW Pathways — The Gap No One Talks About
Just because someone is part of a pathway system
does not make them elite at developing players.
That’s the truth.
The girls’ game is a different breed.
And we are still behind in coaching standards.
When this game goes full-time…
you’ll see what real coaching looks like.
Professional.
Detailed.
Elite.
Right now — there’s a gap.
And until that gap is fixed,
players will continue to be misdeveloped.
The Reality Of NRLW Dreams — The Odds Aren’t Being Explained
There are limited spots.
Everyone knows that.
But what most don’t understand…
is how selections actually work.
When you go to trials for:
👉 A large portion of those squads are already decided.
They’ll bring in extra players:
10… sometimes 20
To fill numbers
To create development squads
And that’s fine.
But let’s not pretend:
👉 Most of the team is already picked.
NRLW Dreams vs Selection Reality — It’s Not Always Fair
Here’s where it gets uncomfortable.
Just because someone is a coach
does not mean they are elite at identifying talent.
The female game needs more:
Experienced developers
Better talent identification
More investment in coaching
Because right now…
👉 Selections aren’t always based on long-term development.
More Players, Same Spots — The NRLW Dreams Bottleneck
There are thousands of players chasing NRLW dreams.
But there aren’t more spots.
👉 More players
👉 Same opportunities
That creates pressure.
That creates confusion.
That creates false belief.
The Expansion Problem — Why NRLW Dreams Are Being Limited
Let’s be honest.
There is no shortage of players.
There is a shortage of:
Structure
Investment
Proper pathways
Every NRL club should have:
An NRLW team
Full development systems
Clear pathways from U15 to elite level
Some experienced players don’t want expansion.
👉 That’s protection.
But if you were trying to make it today…
Would you still say that?
This is the difference between simply playing and truly progressing, which we explain in our full article on [developing elite NRLW athletes].
The Biggest Truth About NRLW Dreams — Most Players Aren’t Ready
This is where everything comes together.
Even when opportunities exist…
👉 Most players aren’t ready.
They think they’re working hard.
But they’re not training at an elite level.
“We’ve already spoken about this in detail — why 80% of female players won’t make NRLW comes down to preparation, not potential.”
They don’t understand:
Speed
Strength
Explosiveness
Mindset
Consistency
👉 “The opportunity might be there… but most aren’t ready when it comes.”
Excel Sports vs NRLW Dreams — Why We Do It Differently
We are not for everyone.
And not everyone is for us.
At Excel Sports, we don’t start with talent.
👉 We start with attitude.
We look at:
The player
The parents
The environment
If that’s not aligned…
👉 You’re not for us.
👉 “If you’re looking for real guidance, our NRLW player agent support is built around preparation, not promises.”
The Excel Sports Standard — No Shortcuts, No Lies
We don’t tell you what you want to hear.
We tell you what you need to hear.
We already have:
Standards
Expectations
Core values
We’re not asking.
👉 We’re setting the standard.
We Don’t Sell NRLW Dreams — We Build Players For Them
We don’t sell dreams.
We build players.
We focus on:
Mindset
Skill
Body shape
Performance
Discipline
We build value.
Because when you build value…
👉 Opportunities come to you.
Preparation Before Opportunity — The Difference Maker
Most chase opportunity first.
We don’t.
👉 We prepare you before it comes.
Because when it arrives…
👉 You need to be undeniable.
Final Truth — NRLW Dreams Are Real, But Not For Everyone
Not everyone will make NRLW.
That’s the truth.
But if you’re going to chase it…
👉 Do it the right way.
No shortcuts.
No false belief.
No noise.
👉 “If you want to see what real pathways look like, our real NRLW case studies show exactly how players progress when done properly.”
🔥 My FINAL LINE
The NRLW dream is real…
but the truth behind it is what determines who actually makes it.
👉 Are you actually ready?
