My Story

For more than a decade, I have dedicated my life to helping female rugby league athletes navigate one of the most challenging and misunderstood pathways in Australian sport.

Long before the NRLW became the professional competition it is today, I saw the potential for women’s rugby league to grow into something special. While many were focused on the men's game, I invested my time, energy and resources into understanding the female pathway system, building relationships, supporting families and helping athletes maximise opportunities both on and off the field.

My journey has never been about simply signing players. It has always been about education, development and creating opportunities. I believe that athletes deserve honest advice, professional guidance and someone willing to invest in their future long before contracts and representative honours arrive.

Through EXCEL Sports Management, I have had the privilege of working alongside athletes from grassroots rugby league through to elite NRLW environments. Every player, every family and every journey has reinforced the same lesson — development before exposure, education before contracts and people before business.

Why I Chose Female Rugby League Pathways

For more than a decade, I have watched female rugby league evolve from a largely overlooked participation sport into one of the fastest-growing professional sporting pathways in Australia and New Zealand.

What attracted me was not the opportunity to represent athletes. It was the opportunity to help build something meaningful.

I saw talented young players working incredibly hard without understanding how representative systems worked, how NRLW pathways operated or what clubs were really looking for. Families were often left to navigate important career decisions without trusted guidance.

Rather than becoming a general player agent, I made the decision to specialise in female rugby league pathways. I committed myself to learning every stage of the athlete journey, building relationships throughout the game and creating systems that would genuinely help players and families make informed decisions.

Today, EXCEL Sports Management continues to focus on development before exposure, education before contracts and long-term success over short-term recognition.

The EXCEL Sports Philosophy

Family

Faith

You

Family

Family is the foundation of everything I do.

Long before contracts, pathways and representative football, there are parents making sacrifices, siblings providing support and families investing their time, energy and trust into a young athlete's future.

At EXCEL Sports Management, I believe every athlete should have a strong support network around them. Success in sport means very little if it comes at the expense of family values, relationships and personal wellbeing.

That is why family will always come first.

Faith

Faith is my conscience.

It is the internal compass that guides the decisions I make, the way I treat people and the standards I hold myself accountable to.

In an industry where promises can be made easily, I believe integrity matters. Doing the right thing when nobody is watching, being honest when difficult conversations need to be had and remaining true to my values are principles that I will never compromise.

Faith reminds me that people are always more important than business.

You

The final piece is you.

No athlete reaches their potential without discipline, commitment, resilience and accountability.

I can provide guidance, education, support and opportunities, but ultimately the athlete must be willing to do the work.

Success is built on daily habits, consistent effort and a willingness to keep improving when nobody is watching.

That is why the final pillar of EXCEL Sports Management is you.

Because your future will always be determined by the actions you take today.

Building the Future of Female Rugby League

For more than a decade, my mission has remained simple: help athletes and families make informed decisions, develop their potential and maximise every opportunity available to them.

Through EXCEL Sports Management, I have worked with players across every stage of the pathway system, from grassroots rugby league to elite NRLW environments.

The growth of women's rugby league has created incredible opportunities, but it has also created confusion. Families are often expected to make important decisions about development pathways, representative football, contracts and long-term career planning without access to reliable information.

My role has always been to simplify that journey through education, experience and genuine care for the people involved.

The goal has never been to create the biggest agency. The goal has always been to create the most trusted environment for athletes and families pursuing excellence.
